Japan, Empire. An Order of the Golden Kite, VI Class Buy Now A Maltese cross paty constructedInstituted in 1890. In silver, badge shows golden kite above crossed ancient shields with two crossed spears and banners, on original striped green ribbon, inclusive of loop 66. 5 mm (h) x 41. 4 mm (w), mint condition. Housed in original case, very fine condition. Footnote: The Order of the Golden Kite was an order of the Empire of Japan. It was established on February 12, 1890, by Emperor Meiji, in commemoration of Jimmu Tenn, the Romulus of Japan.
