Constructed of a silvered alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of "FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR", unmarked, measuring 25.
